Mind over matters!!!

Mind over matters!!!

A Poem by andrew mitchell

In a world of expression, Poetry
Where revealing one thoughts
Differs from speaking one's mind.
One is hidden, silent, inner-most.
Easily written on paper,
but vulnerable to view.
The other vocal, auditory.
A  superfical conversation of mind.
Do they meet?
Are they parallel?
They do not appear the same!

Very beautiful! I like how you used the punctuation to add to the flow and rhythme of the poem As always brilliant :)

thank you ShadowPoet
So true. People don't speak about the things really important to them. Some people just jabber to fill up time and be the center of attention. Keeps them from thinking. I don't do much talking. You learn more by listening.

So true Vishudda
We often write more truths than our lips speak... let me rephrase... sometimes our written words add the lips' omissions... makes one think!

Hi Andrew. Loved this!!!!!!!! Have you really thought about it? Or was this a wisp of thought set aside for future consideration?? It is a question I have pondered of late. Being a poet is to take a truth and mould it into whatever form the poet wishes . . . is that not so?? We write of all things, but not necessarily of thoughts we wish to share with others. Putting them on paper, we can hide the truth, and disguise it from our mind!!! Love this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! alf

Welcome to my lab!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Interesting question but one with an obvious answer one may surmise? One has to think the thoughts before they can be translated to paper.

Third line 'differs'
