My LakeA Poem by andrew mitchell
My Lake, my thoughts
Governed by seasons. Autumn: Dark, murky thoughts, red. coppery, brown. Falling, disposable, finished. Winter: Cold, icy, frozen are my thoughts Sometimes melting, flowing But joined as one. Spring: Wild, passionate, excited my thoughts Burning. buzzing, harmony as one. Summer: Dry are my thoughts, scorched, Baked by the sun. Dried of life. My Lake, my thoughts Ever changing, never still Governed by seasons A test of wills. © 2015 andrew mitchellReviews
