OH! SALESMAN!

OH! SALESMAN!

A Poem by andrew mitchell
"

My similar version based on a Monkee's song "Salesman"

"
Oh! Salesman! Salesman!
Who you gonna con today?
Oh! Salesman! Salesman!
Who you gonna lead astray?
Oh! Salesman! Salesman!
You can knock my door all day
Oh! Salesman! Salesman!
Why don't you just go away.
I don't wanna buy your books
I don't even like your looks
Oh! Salesman! Salesman!
What you gonna sell today
Oh! Salesman! Salesman!
There are no sales today!

Hi Andrew. if these were all written on the same day/night, it seems your muse was in a frisky mood and I'm so glad you took advantage of it. Too many people think poetry should be all about feeling down and depressed. I love this collection of light hearted and jaunty lines. Just shows the talent!!!! alf
