WHERE IS EMILY?A Poem by andrew mitchell
Where is Emily?
Where does she hide? I've won! I've won! An honorary mention A medal of sorts That's good enough for me. I've looked under a rock. She's not there! I've looked under my pillow Nope! I didn't expect her there! I picked up a shell She's not under there! I really want to tell her... I search. I Google This isn't fair! Has anyone seen EMILY? She's hiding I know it! Because she's just not there. Come out come out Where ever you hide! I need to borrow One of your eyes. Thanks to you I've finally arrived At contest's gate On the stage Share with me This honorary prize. If only I had a compass That points EMILY is here. I'd show her my poem That's for sure! "VOTING NOW OPEN!" Huh! Please! Its closed now And I'm very pleased. I've used your name for fame! And so I say Thanks EMILY.
