Your Love, your Kite.

Your Love, your Kite.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Your Love, your Kite
Lays bare on ground;
A date with wind; now sounds.

But who pulls on your strings?

Soaring high in the wind
The height of love;
How long the string?
Diving, rising, turning
Just like love.

But who pulls your strings?

Now on the horizon
A twist of fate
The weather turns
Darkness awaits.

Quickly! quickly!
Pull in your love
For blind is the night
As is love.
But too late! Too late!
After the storm, trust no more

Your Love ,your Kite
Needs  repair
The string now broken
A love lies bare
.......a watery end.

But who pulls your strings?
Your Love, your Kite.

"Quickly! quickly!
Pull in your love
For blind is the night
As is love.
But too late! Too late!
After the storm, trust no more"---> the last line could be possible to those who hurt so much and it's like they have trauma in loving.

But I still believe, true love is powerful.
In the end, you will still trust people,
And fall in love again

Nice analogy of love and kite

free as a kite- you did justice to the old phrase, capturing the lightness of feelings and the way how we tie them. :)

Hi Andrew. I am agape. This is just so wonderful!!! Love is a kite, chase it, play, let it out, reel it in, fly aloft, fall in a heap . . . such brilliant analogies. You are already reaching for the baton, my friend!!! alf

Who pulls your strings? The kite soars, flies great for a long time, then for some reason crashes. I love your different references in this write. Very nice . Kudos. Valentine
