My Friend the Moon.A Poem by andrew mitchell
From out the silent skies
I see the silvery hue A full moon just smiling The sun no longer viewed. Now sit down quietly Night gazing at the sky Now take a look closely You'll see the silvery eye. Yellow light floods the night On all those sleepy eyes A warm caress to take to bed From high up in the skies. "Sleep tight! Have a good night!" Said the man in the moon Dressed in white with silvery hue "Bye!.... I'll be watching you soon"
