FLIGHT OF FANCY

FLIGHT OF FANCY

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Ah! Sleep! Glorious sleep!
To delve into the dream world,
A far cry from the real world.
A happy place, all fantasies fulfilled.
While in the real world people are killed.
Everything's perfect the way you wish;
In the real world: your just another fish.
Interesting places, people to meet:
In the real world: you struggle to stand on two feet.
Love, happiness, peace, all around
In the real world: worry, struggles, despair, surrounds.
No money needed. Oh it's great!
In the real world: money dictates your fate.
While imagination is beyond your sights,
In the real world: dreams are shattered...... reality bites!
If only I could stay where all is fine,
Even though the sun don't shine.
Then the alarm bells rings, its that time,
The real world...... until the next time.
