THAT FIRST EMBRACE

THAT FIRST EMBRACE

A Poem by andrew mitchell

I will always remember my first embrace,
Gently brushing lips so fine,
Sending tingles down my spine
Like soaring birds our lips just glide;
A soft cushion touch with pressure applied!
Catching my breath between deep sighs
While gazing into her incredible eyes;
No concept of time, not even the sun,
Lips combined, we were united as one.
Immersed in passion I never dreamed;
Those soft red lips, the best I've seen.
A moment of splendour so divine;
Was this love? Was i losing my mind?
Soothing, massaging, all my thoughts
That kiss of hers that couldn't be bought.
Now fragments in time, but not forgotten
Of those first kisses that had me besotted.
