NIGHTLY WANDERINGS OF A WORLD INSIDE

NIGHTLY WANDERINGS OF A WORLD INSIDE

A Poem by andrew mitchell

You're fast asleep
And the dream kicks in
To wrap around you
As your seclusion begins.
Where no one can find you;
You're all on your own
For your  door is now closed
As you're not at home.
Entering a world
Which is somewhat grey,
Neither hot or cold
As you begin your stay.
And in this space
You travel far.
No sense of time
It's all bizarre.
To find a world
That seems so real
But lacks substance
For you cannot feel
Then you're awoken suddenly
And the dream's swept away
As your outside door slowly opens
To the reality of today.
