A PICTURE OF WORDS

A PICTURE OF WORDS

A Poem by andrew mitchell

To be a poet
Is to play with words,
To tease the reader
With thought provoking verse,
And to keep the reader interested
Just read between the lines
While the power of the poem
Is where the imagination lies.

Hi Andrew. Man oh man. Your mind travels in the best places!!! This is so good. It is so true and I hope poets never forget they are here to entertain. We should give time to mourn, time laugh and time to thinking as deeply as we like. Great write, alf

Just about one of the coolest definitions of a poem and poetry I have encountered my friend. We bring as much to the words as the author - from a personal point of view, Id refer to a computing term , "GIGO" - garbage in, garbage out - you get out what you put in.
Really strong here in terms bang for your buck, Andrew.
I like this - my new favorite of yours.

How I agree with you on this write. Many times it is what we are not saying that needs to be paid attention to. I loved this one. Valentine
