A PIRATE'S CODE A BOY'S DREAMA Poem by andrew mitchell
Hoist the flag; skull and bones me lads. We set sail tonight!
Every boy's dream is
To sail the high seas In search of hidden treasure. And so I land map in hand To find those pirate treasures. Come ashore me boys. Its ours! Just lying in a secluded cave Are many a man's pain and pleasure; Where tales are taken to the grave To remain for ever and ever. May God help you with my cutlass I strike thee! And on the walls , rusty chains Rattle old bones While on the floor there remains Caskets of precious stones. Arr me hearties! What will it be, gems or gold? Oh! What pleasures to be found Scattered over lamp lit ground Come on me boys! Lets get some pretty girls! But now I've grown older, these dreams I find Are shipwrecked somewhere..... in the back of my mind. © 2015 andrew mitchellReviews
