A TIMELESS VOYAGE

A TIMELESS VOYAGE

A Poem by andrew mitchell

There's a message in a bottle
Swallowed by treacherous seas;
Its contents to be unlocked
Discovery is the key.
To be washed up on the beach
Caressed by golden sands;
Waiting to be unearthed
From the hands of the land.
A message for a loved one
Against time may never reach.
A message of importance
From a soul that wants peace.

'A TIMELESS VOYAGE'
andrew mitchell,
Your poem was a reminder to me of others whom have gone before me.
I like many others like to delve into genealogy; not an easy endeavor.
Anyway I found this writing the voice of others which I never knew
but have seen photographs and have learned enough to become curious.
our ancestors had a much harder existence and life was different for them.
"There's a message in a bottle
Swallowed by treacherous seas;
its contents to unlocked
Discovery is the key."
This was really interesting and an opportunity to consider people who lived
before me and how life was for them.
Blessings,
kathy

The image is excellent and I saw the bottle from beginning to end in it's journey for knot. What's in the bottle is the question for the ages. Nicely done. Thanks,

Thank you kindly Willard
wow, this one really speaks to me...as you must well know after reading my message poem. I love this, waiting to be unearthed from the hands of the land...doesn't necessarily mean they are waiting for 'someone' to read it...just means that they want peace like you say in the last line. really like this.

beautiful AM this is penned wonderfully. I have always found the concept fascinating to send a note of words across the sea to see where they may end up!!
A sense of peace from setting the words free even if they go unread!!
love it

a message worth discovering. In the end we all want peace. No matter how far we go after various worldly things peace is what gives our soul rest. Great write Andrew :)
