WAITING IN LIMBO

WAITING IN LIMBO

A Poem by andrew mitchell

A silhouette marks the city wall
His movements not of his own control
And leaning against a shadow's pole,
Waits patiently for his owner's call.

'Waiting In Limbo'
andrew mitchell,
The title is probably a hint to this poem's meaning. first line; "silhouette', 'not of own control, shadow's pole, wait's for owners call.' It is one of an empty place for a shadow is the shape but not the substance. We as human souls carry physical substance. Our lives crave others. We desire to give and to share ourselves. We need affirmation and desire to do the same for others. This poem speaks of a reaching for and of a desire for meaning, to find love.

Interesting read of a shadow in slavery to a life he does not control. Well done and fun. A thinking man's poem, me thinks.

Hi Andrew. This is truly remarkable. What else can a shadow do? A poem to make mind's ponder, alf
