untitledA Poem by alSavage blood drinking Wild woman. I beg, I beg! Let me awaaaay. this cage makes my skin drymy hair wilt Where are the wild things? I want to be with them. Please.please.please. Look at these hands gushing red! This cage, it hurts me. Im covered red. Scarlet. Oh please. who has hunted me from my jungle, put me here to stack boxes and get fat? Im sorry your world is messy A volcanic eruption Im sorry really But I cant help Im dying in this world! Look at my skin, These sliced fingers I was born to be naked and hungry! I shake and tremble to that hum of the jungle I drink moonjuice I sleep vulnerable, open, like your roses in your backyard -what do you think of your roses? They too are savage, see those thorns? I know. They are beautiful. You say you raised them? Well, you can not raise me. I will not be that domesticated rose, dreaming of the forest. Im sorry. the politics and starvation of your land is not for me. look at my muscles atrophied! Oh please. let me lose. Let me catch fire and burn. Let me sprint across scorching sands, sun dust settling in my pours. Please, don’t wash my paint away. no no no don’t scrub my feet soft! Your world is gray and cold and rectangle I beg you I beg you I beg you these marks are from another world. © 2010 al |
