Dear Life

Dear Life

A Poem by Alyssa

Dear Life,

Thanks a lot.

Thanks for annoying little brothers,

For rude people, drama, and bad breath breathing in your face.

For icy driveways, and little barking dogs.

For the phone ringing always at the wrong time, running to answering it, then hearing the stupid telemarketer.

Thanks for when all the shampoo bottles fall off the shelf in the shower

and all the times my pencil fell off my desk in class.

Thanks for all the lost remotes, phones, and socks

For my dog wanting to chew everything it sees,

For hot coffee that I spill on myself in the car when it goes over a pot hole

For sleepless nights and zombie like Monday mornings

Thanks for homework, and spilled milk... all over my lap.

For headaches, and stubbed toes

For everything else you brought upon my life that I am so thankful for,

Thanks a lot.

This was really good in my opinion :]
I liked it. The little things that you have in your poem such as

"Thanks for when all the shampoo bottles fall off the shelf in the shower"

Made it really unique, because I dont think a lot of people would think of such little things like that

Great write, overall

This is just fantastic. This reminds of a book called "The Boyfriend List"(And thats a compliment because I really like that book). Your use of sarcasm is flawess, witty, and very enetertaining to read. Also you use many things that the averge reader/ writer experiances in there everyday making you more conginal to your viwers. Thanks Steph for the recomendation, Alyssa is definatly ( and hopefully accepts) my friend request.

I couldn't agree more. This was a delight to read and it made me smile several times. Life brings so many annoyances, such as missing socks and telemarketers, but they're worth it everytime for the good stuff life graces us with. On a side note, my dog actually did eat my homework once! Anyways, I super loved this & it was a fantastic piece :)

Very sarcastic (obviously). Remember that, even in all the inconveniences, life still has so many good things about it :). Cute poem, though.

I liked everything about your poem--the poem itself, the formatting, the flow and rhythm.... but most of all, I loved the font face. You shoulder consider a career in typography, the font fit the poem perfectly. It really sold the poem.
