And Ductape Fixes EverythingA Poem by alyssaruth_3And Ductape Fixes Everything
With the dawn of each new day, another detail of our scarce memories fades away. You get a little more blurred as I try to remember the exact color of your dark eyes I used to get lost in. Every detail that escapes my recollection, leaves behind another emptiness. Away from your affection, I question everything about who I am and I wonder if I'll ever feel okay again. Each day though, love, I think about you a little less; and I try to glue my pieces back together, but I'm still a hot mess. Because I really did love you and I don't think I'll love like this again. You left too many holes for even ductape to fix. © 2015 alyssaruth_3 |
