So LongA Poem by Alyssa McilrathShe once read that a life with out adventure, was a life wasted.
She has always been tied tightly to the restricting strings of society's conformist ways. It was boldly etched in her mind that once she graduated high school, she would cut off all ties with everyone who ever thought they knew her. Fascinated by adventure, tired of the uncaring charlatans, there was no changing her mind. Constantly closing her eyes much longer than the conventional blink, bags packed and eyes dry. To all those that she used to know, to those who pretended to care about her, she softly says so long. © 2016 Alyssa McilrathAuthor's Note
