Light Tears and Faded LoveA Poem by Alyssa Carlstrom
She sat in the moonlit grass
Replaying scenes from the night before last. Her delicate fingers pulled at the grass And so she chose to remember the good old days The days when she was a girl Way back when things were simple. Her light, faded jeans dirtied. But she didn't have a care, for people had changed. He left her behind without a single thought. Her face tightened And the fight to hold back tears began. The sky clapped thunder Rain poured onto her soft blonde strands. She still sat, her head buried in her knees. Light tears fell For a faded love she could no longer keep. © 2012 Alyssa CarlstromAuthor's Note
