I Miss You

I Miss You

A Poem by Alyssa Carlstrom

You left without a single word
One by one, the seams of my heart are being pulled
Your absence is cold, your breath I long to taste again.
I lie awake night after night and wonder...
Am I telling myself something I want to hear
Or are you missing me more and more?
My heart and I will be waiting for you.
And if you decide to return, the tear within me shall no longer be there.

Not so much originality concept wise, but you've expressed yourself quite better than most I've seen. Lovely poetry, I'd suggest searching for more . . . how to put, metaphorical ways to present your emotions? It'd add a slight mysterious vibe to it; and if it doesn't work for you; you could always revert back.
