Diamond in the Rough

Diamond in the Rough

A Poem by Alyssa Carlstrom

Out of all the girls, you picked me.
A girl who used to be insecure and indecisive - oh how little you knew.
You didn't know my past, and looks can be deceiving, as they all say.
But you didn't care, you loved me anyways.
My heart wanted to tell you everything
Except one thought threatened to ruin it all

Would you still love me if you knew
Or would you run and hide?
