Ode to a Grateful Heart

Today I choose to be grateful.

I will not complain and give way

to despair.

Instead, I’ll open my mouth and declare every

blessing and every advantage that my heart can remember.

While focused on praises,

envy no longer consumes me.

When selfishness sees a grateful heart,

it runs and hides.

As gratitude seeps into my soul,

it bubbles up within me,

and true joy overflows.

I become more outgoing -

I smile at others and they smile back.

I’ll meet my goals and create everlasting friendships.

Better decisions will be made, and exhaustion will

no longer have the upper hand.

Forevermore I will be grateful.

YES!!! It takes a lot of self reflection and humbleness to realize that about ourselves. Some wouldn't even care while others do. The more you're grateful for things, the more positive you'll become. Know from personal experience.
