Her Plight

Her Plight

A Poem by Aly
"

My favorite subject to write on is Vampires ^^

"
He watches as her body goes limp
He feels her warmth leave
As he swallows her blood
He didn’t know her
He didn’t care
He just needed to feed
And he wanted a woman
His eyes glow red
As he sits and stares
The night air smells fresh
And he leaves her there
He is gone again
He leaves her alone in the darkness
And walks up the empty street
He smiles and hums a melody
He knows what he has done
And feels no sympathy or guilt
He feels energized and full
He wants something
but isn’t sure what

I love how the end makes me want to know what is it he wants. I have ideas but it's not absolute. I enjoyed the way you described it.

Excellent vampire poem. He takes what he needs and feels no regret. But why should he, her blood and life is just food to him, a vampire. Very enjoyable poem.

Well, there's certainly no better subject to write on than vampires...
