Forgotten Girl

Forgotten Girl

A Story by Aly
"

My first piece of writing in a very long time. It is a simple short story, nothing to major.

"

The wind blows through the forest as a young girl lies on the grass. Her eyes cold as stone and her body still. It is almost as if she is trapped in a transit that she will never break free from. No sign of life is seen and her face is expressionless. It seems that a lot of time has passed since she was last disturbed.  The sounds of birds chirping in the distance are the only sounds that are heard from where the girl lies. She is lost in her mind and no one is able to save her. No animal dares to near the young girl, and no person has walked through the forest in years. All that is known is that she wants to be alone, never bothered by reality, or at least what she knows is reality. Suddenly the wind stops, and no noise is heard. Her body loses all color and signs of life. It is obvious now, that the girl is gone. She lies alone, consumed by her thoughts and most likely forgotten.
