Change never changed us, we only became strangers to time
If you think about it, we will all be strangers in time Let a thousand years ago, and we can wonder what was left behind So we are but a fading dream one we cannot press rewind I've seen the signs, I first saw them in her eyes The beautiful shine soon turned to ugly cries As we watched the cloudy skies and darkness multiplied I realized, we can only hold hands as we settle into the long good night What do I remember about you oh my sweet September How could I forget when we first met it began in terror Chasing what's fair while flighting fear felt like I was going nowhere But the sight of you, I knew this is what it felt like finding forever I could tell tall tales of our time, but I only have time to tell you How much love I had for you, I hope I got to show you As we go into the night, I hope to see you soon As they light up the night sky for one last time THIS IS TO THOSE OF US NOW LOST IN TIME.
