Full Of Surprises

Full Of Surprises

A Poem by Aziz Luther

Don't surprise me with flowers

At the tower, you'll be waiting for hours.

Plus I'm allergic to them and the bees,

So don't be full of surprises please

Don't surprise me in the shelter,

Your gifts won't be much to me there.

Like a prayer, hard to measure

I'll pay less attention with you there.

Don't surprise me at my house,

For I may be elsewhere,

Both in body and mind,

Trying to find Jesus with a prayer.

Don't be surprised when I leave,

In the middle of the night.

Don't be jealous or feel deceived,

Trust in me, as I in you.

Don't be surprised when we part ways

Don't be mad that i couldn't meet you half way

On the wedding day, the jitters so the say

But all the surprises may have come in play
