A Stranger Arrived

A Stranger Arrived

A Poem by Aziz Luther

Love,

I've heard the most of it and seen the least
I went my whole life and love I've missed
Many have been frogs that I have kissed
I deserve a queen though I'm not a prince

Love,

I hope you come stay with me
For the night and wake up next to me
You seem like the one who will finally make me feel
The last thousands love letters were amiss

Love,

The least of it have I felt
As a kid on my mother's hands I have felt
Many nights trying to figure, I have wept
Resented yet held, never aborted so just kept

Love,

I'm not sure that we have ever met
If we did, sorry for not feeling you then
Because I've only known the opposite, all I know is hurt
I hope to see you one day, today I make a not to self

LADY LOVE.

I enjoyed the imagery in this poem very much. Your first verse inspired me to write the following tiny gift poem that you may keep as your own since you provided all the imagery for it within your poem: It’s in /0/0/0/ syllable meter with overlapping rhyme. I had to use many of your words in this tiny poem since none other would do:

Frogs

Full of hope, the least I’ve seen
of the loving that I’ve missed.
Never yet did spring a queen
from all the frogs that I’ve kissed.
