Cracked

Cracked

A Poem by A.M. Everlasting
"

"...Now there's in my heart, a big broken crack." Love hurts.

"

In my resolve, I was firm. I hadn’t a doubt,

But then who you "were" began to leak out.

Did I like what I saw? I didn’t yet know.

I found myself questioning, why I said no.

What can I say? I fell for you.

I was blinded by love that I thought was true,

But I was your fool and you were a clown,

You pulled me up, then dragged me down.

I gave you my trust, and you threw it back,

Now there’s in my heart a big, broken crack.

Your poem is the definition of how love can blind you from the reality. I like the line:
"But I was your fool and you were a clown" it spells it out perfectly. It flows well and emotion jumps out at you. Nicely done.
