Falling

Falling

A Poem by A.M. Everlasting
"

I thought you would catch me...

"

You said you’d catch me,

If ever I fall,

So it was surprising,

That you weren’t there at all.

Life’s walls fell upon me,

A choice I did decide,

Everything overwhelming,

...I committed suicide.

But halfway down it hit me—

I didn’t want to die.

But I was already falling,

What you’d said was a lie.
