Out of the Sea

Out of the Sea

A Poem by A.M. Everlasting
"

Piece #4 from my Disney-Inspired Collection.

"
Her fins to the floor
To his feet on the sand
She longs to explore
The wonder of dry land
She decides to ignore
The trembling of her hand
The waves, as they roar,
Will never understand.

What would she give?
What would she pay?
If she could live
With him for one day?
Where would they walk?
Where would they run?
If she couldn’t talk,
Could she still be the one?

A hand to her throat
An eye on the sky
Her mind on a boat
And a beautiful guy
She lifts her voice
And gives up the sea
She made her choice
And she’s finally free
