Darkened NightA Poem by Lauren Beth
A night together, happy, Finally. Then... You, falling asleep. On the couch, a movie playing, That you said you love. Out to smoke a cigar, You go. Time passes, an hour or so. My phone, it is you. You say “I’m at the bar” Down the road. Music pumping, my heart Begins thumping. I’m waiting for you… And you have no intent On returning… anytime soon. © 2009 Lauren Beth |

I write for me, it's like just something that I need to get out. Whatever hits me at the moment I start jotting down, on sticky notes, napkins.... more..Writing
