An Existentialist's New Year's Eve

An Existentialist's New Year's Eve

A Poem by AlvyAlbee

Lights and sparkles

Joy and laughter

Yet one man feels sad

Invites fly in

No need to be alone

Yet man still feels sad

Pour me a wine

“To a better year”

Is this man mad?

“What is your story, what are your goals?”

-          “I don’t know the answer”

The sad man sighed

Why do we ask questions

When the answers are

Hidden from us

You must consider him happy

Even if he isn’t

The French man declared

So, have a great time

Or at least try

Thus befalls the end
