Thinspiration

 

 

Though Ana is not my name

Her ulterior motive

Invading my vision seems to have

Numbed my brain

 

So thin on inspiration

Puts me back

Into Plato’s cave full of shadows of my former self

Rather than give me food for

 

Another pensive mood leaving me captivated

Thinspiriation affecting the last morsel of

Inspiration fleeing the mental desert

On the last plane to …

I like how you combine thought and inspiration in this one word -thinspiration, very original. Sometimes, when stress or deep sorrow we feel alienated with ourselves, and in Plato's cave the others - who looked and their shades and lived in the non-real world thought, the one outside the cave and seeing the real world, is crazy. I can imagine, that poets and artists also feel like this, when their writing is misunderstood. I think, this was excellent philosophical poem.
