Entry for the picture this contest Based on 'Leda and the Swan' for those who appreciate Greek Mythology

"

Déjà vu

Idyllic this may seem
The swan will need to redeem
Majestic, statuesque bird
Everyone must have heard

The swan opening his wings
The girl experiencing divine swings
Strokes of feathers so soft
While being abducted into a heavenly loft

Little was she to know
How could she, how
The swan just being a disguise
Oh, all mighty he thought himself wise

A higher being
Risen above all seeing
The despot and the damsel
Soon the high and mighty fell

Nine months later
Not far from the Equator
The girl became a mother
What a bother

For who was the father
Never there was a larder
To feed the child out of wedlock
Born a half god, what a shock

God, the swan was Zeus ….
