Silently Sleeping

Silently Sleeping

Silently Sleeping

Silently sleeping
Snow falling
Softly searching for a spot

Of

Softness for flakes
To create a blanket
Over the frozen pond

That

Covering goldfish hibernating
Under thick Greenlandic ice
Never before they had

Such

A ceiling
Tricking them
Searching for light

For

The water was warming
Up they went
Only to be frozen

Like

Pop sickles
Without a stick

Only

Forever silent …

Just remember that when experimenting with water, don't inhale!

Keep writing,
