Entry for the 100 words challenge

"

One Hundred Words

Challenge me to write
A daily ritual
Normally easily achievable

I now am wondering

Does this really work
On winter mornings

In frosty parts of the world
That prevent my brain from

Thinking straight while birds
Are picking troubling minds

For bread and cheese too
Ponds frozen

No drinks today
Water has gone away

Hidden under ice
Acting as mirror

Reflecting despair
Hunger creeping

Beaks cracking up
Time running out

Waiting whether human’s
Wasting remains

There once was breakfast
Eggs, bacon

Pigeon’s feast
Spreading news

Neighborhood feuds
Sparrow, pigeon, blackbird

Like free goodies
Ready, steady, go!

Finch, blue jay, crow
Enjoy!

There may be grammar issues, because writing a 100 word poem without using one word twice is a challenge.

This is a delightful poem in which I enjoyed very much.
Word Count: 97
Repeat of one word: on

Reminds of New York City with all the pigeons & my mother's barn!
In the barn lived 100 pigeons at least, in the loft..lol.

Fantastic effort!! I do hope you will give this a whirl for round (3)
A Suggestion for you:

Love it! Just copy and paste and answer yes or no......I say YES to count every word and NO on the second question.

That is a tricky challenge I know it would of been hard for me to do it as well. I think you did a great job. I would of done a great job messing a poem up with those restrictions. Thanks for sharing and showcasing your god given ability as a writer. It flowed and screamed at times. That is great.

99 words unless you take (readbird) and make it (Red Bird)
Neighbourhood is Neighborhood (correct spelling)

Repeat of (1) word: for

www.wordcounter.com
just copy and paste poem into box.......mark YES in first box...mark NO in Second box
set at 100 words.

So just change (1) For to something else & fix (readbird) into Red Bird or Blue Jay

Then you're all fixed!
