Tribute to my professor of old English literature, mr. Denis J. Conlon Phd, who apparently is still active in the academic field because I found some links to his academic writings ...I hope he likes the way he is remembered.
Imagine your professor of 'The history of English literature' teaching in Liverpudlian dialect...
I loved the man! He was quite a character ... but often litteraly misunderstood by some students that were not all Beatle fans!
Well, whenever mr. Denis J. Conlon finds this, I hope he likes the way he is remembered by a former student who chose to leave university prematurely but still loves reading and writing in English rather than in her native language.

Enjoyed Gulliver's Travels, the symbolisms and comparisons of what it is to be human (differences that have fear attached)... we are what we dream to become... love the way you used your poetic language, imagery is vivid and references understandable. Your professor would be proud and humbled to be remembered by this ode to him/her. Enjoyed this, thanks for sharing.

To be remembered in a poem written by a past student must be one of the greatest compliments or tributes ever, especially when the student is obviously truly gifted. Your professor reads to be an intuitive teacher, almost a stone mason for he's carved a presence in your life.
Your inclusion of the British greats adds even more clout to your thought and experience.
I had an English teacher like this when I was 18 years old and doing my Leaving certificate in School (Equiv to A levels in England, not sure what it is in the US!).
He made English interesting and fun and I will forever remember him.
I hope your 'Liverpudlian professor' gets to read this...
What a wonderful tribute you have written to someone who obviously made a huge impression on you. Yes I can imagine the classics being read in in a Liverpudlian accent. Very well written, and I can only add my thanks for sharing your memories.
Very nice tribute, and yes the the professor sounds like he was a charater. I'm sure form the way you express yoiur journey he as a teacher entertained. Nice work.
