A Poem by alternative_be
"

Have you ever wondered about what makes the so called sane 'healthy' and the so called 'insane' mentally ill? These last few weeks I have been wondering...

"

S a n i t y

So you think you are sound of mind
And body too for you are the fool that has
Never been able to comprehend the
Inner dwellings under the skulls of those
That you will never be able to understand because
You are supposed to be so … sane

This is so intense and you are so right, sometimes we are quick to judge people for their actions and think right away they must be crazy... we here people say they have talked to God and some say noway you must be crazy yet they believe God exists so why not believe he talks to some. If we see someone walking down the street smiling and dancing around we would call them insane well how about they are just enjoying life... it's all these crazy standards that "Society" creates that seem to determine whether someone is crazy... to tell the truth then I'd rather be insane and enjoy life... Boy you really got me thinking today.

I like what you've done here. Have you thought about a follow-up piece for Insanity?

Very fast beat, that will get the reader to take pause and stop, comprehend, you have just made a point....

And by reading it the 2nd time, it dawns upon the reader, just as everything has been dismissed to their concept, some deeper points might have been missed out.

Great fundamentals here, This is a wonderful piece.

Excellent piece, and I have had similar thoughts before. Have you ever wondered if the so-called insane are actually advanced in some way? Of course there are some exceptions, but your poem makes the reader realize that we should open our minds to those that are "insane" because we may not be so "sane" ourselves. Sanity may be an act while insanity may be the truth.

Nice one. Punchy. Makes its point with economy and the point is a strong one. I also like the whole subject of the mind...THE most fascinating of subjects.

i really really like this. it has a nice flow. if the letters hadn't been bolded, i might not have even noticed that it spelled anything. :-)

sanity is very much a matter of opinion. To be different is to put yourself in danger of being seen as mad
unless of course you very rich and the label changes to eccentric
