Childish

Childish

A Poem by alternative_be
"

Why I feel it is important to nurture our inner child and I am proud to be somewhat childish at times ...

"

Childish

Conceal always what is in your
Heart bearing in mind the
Inner child however deep inside will never
Leave us who dare call themselves true writers

Deep in our soul we always stay young
In the most oblivious corners we
Should search for the child we desire to stay
Here for those who dare call themselves true writers

I wrote this after hearing that a friend's writing got a very dishonest review, calling him childish. In my view, every true writer has got the ability to stay in touch with his inner child and we need our inner child to be able to write and stay creative. So in order to be able to write, you need to stay a child at heart.

I love my inner child!. I'm glad you wrote this for a friend, a very good friend you are. When someone calls me childish i don't even take it as an insult *is that a good thing?*

I like the message that this gives to the vast majority of people that will read it. I decided to look for my inner child. As I dug my way through all the muck, I found him running around. I said hello. He turned, and with a grin he gave me the finger. I was not upset though, looking at much of my writing - I guess I have always kept him close. :)

An excellent reminder for all...

Kudos for defending your friend in this matter. This reminds me of a Pablo Picasso quote where he said 'Every child is an artist the trouble is how to remain a child once an adult' - or something to that effectg. Nice inspiring words. Thank you.

Perpetually 10 or 11. She goes with me everywhere I go... A needy little thing requiring a lot of attention... Any kind will do... isn't that some psychological parenting tidbit? Even negative attention is better than none at all... describes my first 2 marriages perfectly.
