The rule of three ...

The rule of three ...

A Poem by alternative_be
"

I'm not a pagan, though I do believe that if you intentionally harm someone, it will all come back in your face!

"

The rule of three

I am not a pagan

Nor Carl Sagan

There is more

Between Heaven and Earth

For what it is worth

Think before you act

Before concocting

A devilish pact

You always reap what you sow

Even if you would not know

How to hurt

For what it is worth

Do not do any harm

Even by pulling someone's arm

For it is the backfiring charm

Causing triple harm

Though I am not a Pagan

Nor Carl Sagan

Hah. Carl Sagan and his Drake Equation. Isn't the equation something like seven variables? The approximations for variables seem rediculous to me...the length of time before a civilization will send out radio signals? Nevertheless, he is a great man and skeptic.

As for your piece, do things come back to bite you? I always wonder if we incur those results. While we want something selfishly out of pride, sometimes I think we want the bad result as well. We humans crave everything. Maybe. Who knows.

And the "rule of three" a pagan thing right? Everything you do comes back three times worse. Could make a great story.

Thank you for the review on one of my pieces by the way! (I know it has been a while but I'm slow to run around)

This was sweet, I know his theory and also movies. Interesting that you picked this up. I liked your poem very much. we always seek. I keep seeking here on the earth and I found the universe in us.

I like the way you express your spiritual views in this poem. And yes, of course there is more between heaven and earth. It is just a shame more people can't see it.
I do think this is changing though,
Largely because more and more people are sounding their trumpets.
On the internet.
A diabolical technological extravaganza, that ultimately will do just as much good as it does harm.
Thank you for saying the things you say.
Also: Using 'Pagan' and 'Sagan' was quite cool.
