Mental Block

Mental Block

A Poem by Kelsey
"

I wrote this while having trouble writing another poem, which makes little sense.

"
Mental block,
please stop,
clouding up my head.

I've yet to say,
my thoughts today,
I've been quiet instead.

I've you to blame,
my mental block,
for clouding up my brain.

You kill my words,
I fight the urge,
Oh, but you still remain.

What a wonderful poem. It's short and sweet, and it succinctly conveys the frustration and dejection we feel because of this horrible affliction. Isn't it strange that, even when we can't "write", we can still write about this? I don't know if it's the same way with others, but I've done the same thing myself. It boggles my mind.

Thank you. (:
Mental blocks are the worst, aren't they? Just keep surrounding yourself with what inspires and influences you. That's what I do. If you aren't in an encouraging environment, then make one. Keep up the good work.

Cheers!
