Instinct

Instinct

A Poem by Kal

Instinct

What a strange feeling that I felt tonight
My hand on your hand and my fingers between yours
So much electricity, so much heat to melt iron
So strong that I even felt this chemistry in you
I felt it from the fire that I saw in your eye

Let us forget the people around us
Let us just be alone in this dark room
We only need the two of us and this heat that we feel
Let us make this world disappear
Let us just be the only humans left
We only need our instinct to guide us into another world

Since that night, nothing else was on my mind but this
The touch of your hand on my skin
And the sound of your breath into my ear
So much power, so much fire to burn us through the night
So strong that we both now created a new chemistry between us
We created it from the instinct that played us through that night

Let us forget the people around us
Let us just be alone in this dark room
We only need the two of us and this heat that we feel
Let us make this world disappear
Let us just be the only humans left
We only need our instinct to guide us into another world

Beautiful poem! I loved the way you penned this. Was this a particular "form"?
I loved the flow, the sentiments, everything in this romantic write.

Good job!
