Home Sweet Home

Home Sweet Home

A Poem by Kal

This is our last night to spend together
I wanna spend it so slow and spend it so warm
The morning is coming and I’ll kiss you a long kiss goodbye
Then I’ll be on my way to that plane
I’m waiting near the gate sitting until it’s time for me to leave
Thinking of how much I’ll miss you while I'm gone

I’ll be waiting for the day when I’ll see you again
I’ll be waiting for the night when I’ll hear you again
I’ll be waiting for the moment when I’ll hold you again
I’ll be waiting until I feel home again
Cause darling you're my home sweet home

Here I am on the plane it’s taking off
I’m looking through the window trying to enjoy the view
Everything is getting smaller as we rise higher
While everything deep inside is getting bigger cause I'm missing you
And now I’m up in the sky and you’re down there on earth
And that’s the moment when everything starts to get tough
I know it’s harder for you cause it’s me who’s gone
But let us both wait until we meet again

So let us wait for the day when we’ll meet again
And wait for the night when we’ll talk again
Let’s wait for the moment when we’ll hold again
And wait until we feel home again
Home sweet home you and I

This struck such a chord with me you wouldn't believe. Penned with such love, read like a beautiful love story of the pain of departure in a relationship...and that is pain indeed!

I can so relate to this my friend....very touching, very lovely.

Pen on Poet!

I love this poem. But, it has a different meaning for me. My wife is now with The Lord Jesus Christ in the transportable city of God that is coming to earth for His thousand year earthly reign. The city 1500 miles cubic in size and being of twelve gates. She is waiting for me at one of those gates. This is not pretend for me or myth this is reality. This hits upon my theology. Thanks for sharing.
