The Art Of Words And The Weapon Of Feelings

 

“There was a time”. A simple phrase, a simple meaning that could indicate many things happened in life. What most people don’t realize is the power of words, phrases or even a simple sentence could change many things more than you can imagine. See, a simple word could change everything upside down, but you don’t notice it until it happens, and most people don’t know how to use words, phrases and sentences, they even choose a wrong time and a wrong place to use them, and before you know it, they lose something precious in their lives. I’d like to call that “the art of words”.

 

Personally, I’m amazed by this phrase “there was a time”. Because from it, it changes the whole meaning. Take an example: “the world changed, you no longer feel safe anymore walking alone on the streets at night, you hear gun shots every day, people are dying, wars all over the world and so many things but… there was time”.

See you understood the use of “there was a time” here, even when I put it at the end, which usually we put it in the beginning, you still understood what I meant. And that’s because I used something in the beginning of the example that shows the opposite of the world today “the world changed”, which means that before the world changed, it was a better place. Then I described how the world is now, and at the end I wrote, “there was a time”. So this can mean that a person is remembering how good the world was in the past, and sees how the world is now, and feels sad and says, “there was a time”. But when you hear the person saying this phrase the first time, you won’t understand. But if you think about this phrase for a while and try to analyze it, you’ll notice that this simple phrase has a deep meaning.

 

See, simple phrases and sentences can mean a big deep meaning, but you don’t notice these things, because you take every word as it is, and don’t try to see what’s hiding behind these words. Because if you did, you would have been able to understand every single concept from everything, concept from movies, speeches and even a single word, but you need to analyze, and that is what most people aren’t able to do, not cause of their inability to do it, but because as simple as this, they just don’t try.

Many people cannot express what they feel or cannot talk without the use of feelings. Now of course you’re thinking that a person with no feelings is a heart of stone, but I’m not talking about the group with no feelings today. I’m talking about the group who cannot use words to convince someone, the group who cannot express themselves with words, so they use feelings instead, which can lead to something what I like to call “the weapon of feelings”.
