I wrote this in 2004 after falling in love for the first and only time.

Call Me Selfish

I want to walk barefoot in the rain
and feel the mud gush beneath my feet.

I want to swim under the moonlight
in the crystal clear waters of the creek.

I want to lay naked amongst the trees
and bathe in the coolness of nature's breeze.

I want to experience the calm of the rainbow
that my soul may be at ease.

I want to drink from your hands
as you cup your sorrow's tears.

I want to absorb all of your pain
and become a sponge for all your fears.
