Ch. 5

"It's very nice to hang out with you guys," Renz said.

 

"Yes," Carlos smiled, "very nice." The way both of them talked, it drew you in. Their devious smile, and the gleam in their eyes. Jamie and Stacie were happy though. Jamie and Renz had been going out for eight months now, and Carlos, who Renz worked with, was introduced to Stacie, and they had been dating for 6 months.

 

Carlos and Renz had both graduated from college already, though they were not much older than Stacie or Jamie. They worked in the business industry, though they never went into great detail. They just complained it was a big hassle.

 

Elise and Kaedon looked at each other and smiled. Kaedon pulled her closer.

 

"I love you," he whispered in her ear. 

 

Elise giggled. "I love you too," she kissed him.

Over the walkie talkie, the conversation played. He was getting ready. Dios perdoname, he thought. Then, he pressed a button.

 

“Dios perdoname……” he whispered.

Carlos was tapping on a wine glass with a spoon. "I want to say something," he smiled. "I want to say that me and my friend," he pointed to Renz, "that we are happy to be here with you guys and it's nice to be accepted."

 

Renz stood up also. "Jamie, I love you. You mean a lot to me."

 

Carlos smiled, "And Stacie, I love you too."

 

Everyone kissed their parters, including Keadon and Elise.

 

Keadon stood up, "Elise, you know you mean th--"

 

All of a sudden, the walls beside them busted in. Elise who was near the wall was hit by the flying debris.

 

 

Jamie and Stacie screamed and Carlose and Renz were trying to protect them.

A guy dressed in all black came walking through the cloud of smoke. As soon as he was there, he was gone.

 

Keadon was finally able to move the rubble off of him, only to see the man walking away. "Liz! Liz!" He screamed. "Where the hell are you?!?!?!" Keadon was frantic now, as he moved all of the debris out of the way. "Liz! Talk to me! Where are you?"

 

Keadon had blood running from the cuts on his forehead into his eyes. As he blinked away the stinging tears, he heard the sound of the firebird starting up.

 

"He has Liz!" Keadon started running though no one seemed to hear him. Everyone else was sitting behind, people screaming and crying.

 

The man in the black suit was laying Elise down in the back seat, and closed the door. Elise had looked knocked out. Keadon ran as fast as his body would let him.

 

"Hey?! Hey you?! Where the hell are you going?"

 

The man looked at him and refused to talk. Keadon was still running and slowed down when he reached the edge of the car. By then, the man was closing his door, and started revving the engine. 

 

"Liz?! Please...no!" Keadon screamed.

 

The tires squealed as the car pealed out of the driveway. Keadon grabbed the keys out of his pocket and ran for the car.

 

"I swear," he focused on following the car, "you better not hurt her..."
