Ch. 3A Chapter by Ashley
He held the door open for Elise as they stepped out of the car. "There you go," Kaedon said as he grabbed her hand to help her.
"You know, you didn't have to do that. But, thank you." Elise seemed delighted. She was happier, Kaedon had noticed, and he was glad.
Ever since Elise's mother died, she had been down, she kept losing jobs, and her grades started dropping. She died a few months after Elise and Kaedon started going out. Kaedon knew everything was hard on her right now, and he was always there, and always going to be there for her. He always let her know that too. And now, Kaedon looked at the beauty of her long auburn hair, and how the moonlight created a glow on her angelic face. Her hair lay in curls over one of her shouders showing off her gorgeous neck. Her lime green eyes just wondered off into the distance with every emotion shining and reflecting in them. Her cheek bones made her face look elegant, as her rosy cheeks brought out her slightly pink lucious lips. To him, she was magnificent. He loved every part of her from her golden tone to her hips he could grab and claim his.
He stared at her. I'm so lucky, he thought.
Elise caught Kaedon staring at her, and she smiled. "What?"
Kaedon watched her smile, as it showed her perfect glistening teeth. "Nothing, you're just so beautiful tonight. You are always, and that is simply an understatement."
Elise smiled again, and turned around to start walking to the restaurant. Her burgandy colored dress swayed in rhythm with her as she walked. The halter dress was wrapped around her neck in a clasp, and then started again at around her tailbone revealing most of her back.
She stopped. "Are you coming with me or not?" She laughed.
"Yeah," Kaedon said as he grabbed a hold of her hand. "When are Jamie and Stacie getting here with their boyfriends?"
"Actually," Elise pointed, "they're right there."
They could see Stacie jumping up and down waiving.
Elise gave a small wave back. "C'mon, let's hurry up." Elise and Kaedon started walking up to them.
"You look so pretty!" Stacie exclaimed.
"Very," Jamie giggled a little.
Elise looked at them both and noticed that their attire was somewhat similar. Jamie's blonde hair was straightened, and hoops dangled from her ears. Her brown eyes were made up, but they were daring. Her dress was an almost white shade of purple, and had double straps on both sides. The dress clung to her, until it reached her abdomen, and continued down layered. Stacie had her ashe brown hair straightened also, but she wore small pink dangling hearts for earings. Her baby blues didn't need much make up, but black eyeliner defined the lids of her eyes. They teased you, and drew you in, until she could tease you and play with you, though you could never have her. She wore a sleeveless light subtle pink, that showed the upper back, with buttons coming down, and was layered towards the bottom.
"You guys are absolutely gorgeous too!" Elise smiled.
Two men of dark brown hair walked up to either side of the two girls, and grabbed their arms.
"Well," Stacie spoke to Elise, "You have already met our boyfriends, but," She turned to Kaedon, "Renz, Kaedon," they shook hands, "Carlos, Kaedon," they shook hands also.
"Okay!" Elise said, and everyone smiled. "Now that everyone has met, and we're all together, let's go eat!”
Everyone walked inside and sat down. They started ordering food, and then they all started eating, and engaged in conversation.
“We haven’t hung out together in a long time, Elise,” said Jamie.
“Yeah,” Stacie joined in, “now it’s only me and Jamie.”
Jamie and Stacie had been best friends since middle school. Maybe it was the fact that both their parents were good friends and always hung out together. It also could’ve been that both had parents who died in a tragic car accident together after coming back from a party. Ever since then, they had always had each other, and that was really who they only had.
But, about two years ago, Jamie and Stacie had met Elise. They had been real close until Elise’s mother died. Everyone noticed that she had been acting more distant. She never talked about it, and never really wanted to either. They always offered her some comfort, and said if she ever needed to talk they would be there.
“Well,” Elise started, “I guess we just have to start hanging out more. I think college has gotten the best of us. We need to chill.” She laughed. She knew she could never chill. Nightmares still kept her up at night. They would always start out with her mom, and end up with him…. She quickly pushed the thought out of her mind again.
“Let’s dig in!” She smiled as her and everyone else at the table dug into the scrumptious food that sat on the table.
