Spring Fever

Spring Fever

A Poem by bluebear

Hazy, listless eyes

Dressed with silky tears

A simple cold however

Too fatigued to keep awake

So I let my eyelids droop back down

One last time, leaving them there

For the Lotus Effect to begin

A dream, a space

For myself and only myself

Where even the lousy heartbeat

Cannot disturb and remind me

That the heart is merely an organ

With a function and purpose

A little too simple to the minds’ liking

Regardless

It is comfortable here

And only here
