Merry Go RoundA Poem by Ally F.It started when I was little I got on the Merry go round thinking “Oh What Fun” Then it started to spin faster and I was Passing pain,
fear, sadness, frustration Faster and faster it spun and I kept screaming for someone
to come help me Faster and faster and then it got bigger and soon I was
passing Sadness, fear, anger, anxiety, frustration, and depression I tried everything to get off I tried to throw myself off but each time I Kept bouncing
back until finally I saw someone who I thought could stop the merry go round I called out to her, but my call was returned with pain and
anger And faster and faster it went till I saw a boy I called out to the boy and this time my call was answered He tried to stop the merry go round but he couldn’t All he could do was slow it And in the meantime I realized he was on his own merry go
round I tried to stop his but all I could do was slow his wheel
of emotions We started to slip but I held on even when I thought I felt
him trying to shake me off He tried to throw himself off but I caught him Then I tried and he caught me This isn’t just child’s play anymore © 2015 Ally F.Featured Review
