KNOTS

KNOTS

A Poem by Allurah38

KNOTS

he did things to me

he ought NOT

it would end when

he was caught

I thought

My mind thinks things

it was taught

Knot to Knot

My sanity can't be bought

only sought

as I untie the lot

One definition of a 'KNOT' is; a tightly tangled mass of strands that are hard to separate. When these strands are made up of lies and deceit, it is better to cut out the problem and find a new piece of string!

Your composition reflects emotions of both hurt and your response to that heartache. Very good piece - short and to the point.

I like that you were selective with specific words and left much to the imagination. What wan't said is just as impacting with it's silence. Nicely written.
Glad to see you writing and posting again, looking forward to seeing more of your work.

I love this, my sister, for what it says -- and how it's said -- but more for what it implies. Your strength shines through here.

One tiny little suggestion: 'cought' should be 'caught.' Other than that, this is perfect. You've crafted it well and with imagination and care. Well done!
