Rain

Rain

A Poem by Jennifer

when I wake up every morning, I hear rain.
90% of the time it is only raining inside of my head.
the rain spills out of my eyes and flows down my cheeks,
making me wish I had an umbrella or some shelter,
but you cannot hide from yourself.
I fear that one day it will rain so much that I will drown within myself.
when you search for me, all you will see are puddles where I once stood.
